Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Ancotrans have announced that they will deploy Volvo FH e-trucks in Hamburg, Germany.
The new trucks are reportedly one of the first FH e-truck deployments in the Hamburg region, with high-performance 540 kilowatts (kW) batteries, a range of 320 kilometres, and the ability to charge overnight at Ancotrans’ facilities using 100 per cent renewable energy.
Takahiro Kikuchi, Managing Director and Region Head of ONE Europe Ltd, said: “We are dedicated to making supply chains greener for our customers.
“Through working together at all points of the supply chain we can collectively make a big difference in reducing carbon emissions. The use of e-trucks is just one of the many steps on ONE’s journey to achieve net zero by 2050. We thank Ancotrans and our customers for taking these steps with us.”
