ShibataFenderTeam (SFT) has created and supplied a customised solution for safe berthing of vessels at the new infrastructure at the Repauno Port & Rail Terminal.
Situated on the banks of the Delaware River in Gibbstown, New Jersey, the Repauno Port & Rail Terminal is strategically positioned in one of the busiest maritime hubs in the US.
A new dock in under construction featuring a 40-foot draft, poised to facilitate the efficient transfer of various products and bolster the port’s prospects for thriving trade.

The newly constructed dock is now equipped with 15 SPC Cone Fender Systems (1600, G2.2), featuring closed box panels of two different sizes, pre-fitted with UHMW-PE pads, along with 13 T-head Bollards (200 tonnes).
Throughout the design phase, SFT’s in-house engineering team examined the terminal’s specifications, placing particular emphasis on the standoff distance to guarantee unobstructed access for RoRo ramps to reach the dock.
“We take good pride in our contribution to this project which has created, to date, more than $275 million in investments,” reads SFT’s latest statement.
“This impressive sum is just an evidence of the project significance, considering that more than 40 per cent of the US population can be reached from the new terminal within a single day’s truck drive.”
