Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has released its unaudited fourth quarter report ending 31 December 2023.
According to OOCL, total revenues declined by 49 per cent to $1.62 billion compared to the same time in 2022.
In contrast, OOCL noted that total liftings rose by 7.2 per cent, while loadable capacity climbed by 9.1 per cent. The total load factor was 1.5 per cent lower than in the same time of 2022.

Overall, average revenue per TEU plummeted by 52.5 per cent compared to the fourth quarter of last year.
Total sales declined by 59.6 per cent in the fiscal year ending 31 December 2023, compared to the same time previous year.

Total liftings increased by 2.9 per cent, while loadable capacity climbed by 8 per cent. The total load factor was 4 per cent lower than the same time in 2022.
The average revenue per TEU fell by 60.8 per cent compared to the same time previous year.
This month, OOCL introduced another green 24,000+ TEU mega vessel.
