cargo-partner has extended its partnership with the HHLA Pure programme for another year across its branches in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.
Launched in 2023, the collaboration between cargo-partner and the HHLA Pure programme has aimed to foster climate-neutral transport chains from European ports into the hinterland.
HHLA Pure, a joint initiative by HHLA and METRANS, combines Hamburg’s status as Europe’s largest rail port with METRANS’ eco-friendly rail transport solutions. The programme uses a range of eco-friendly measures, including electrified processes, modern hybrid and electric locomotives, and CO2-optimised trains and wagons by METRANS. All unavoidable CO2 emissions are offset through certified development projects meeting Gold standards.
“At cargo-partner, we are committed to minimising our carbon footprint and contributing to environmental sustainability,” said Luca Ferrara, CEO of cargo-partner.
“Our continued collaboration with the HHLA Pure programme reflects our ongoing efforts to offer innovative, eco-friendly solutions to our customers while making a positive impact on the environment.”
