​OOCL launches new Japan Philippines Service (KTX4)

Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) will expand its service network for Japan and Philippines with the introduction of its new KTX4 Service.

According to OOCL, KTX4 will enhance the network coverage between Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South China, and Philippines.

KTX4 directly connects multiple ports in Japan with Philippines to cater for the demand in the market.

Together with existing KTX suite services, OOCL aims to provide a more comprehensive service coverage between Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South China, and ASEAN countries.

The port rotation for KTX4 will be as follows:

Osaka – Kobe – Tokyo – Yokohama – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Manila (North Harbor) – Manila (South Harbor) – Hong Kong – Shekou – Osaka

The first sailing is scheduled to start from Manila on 8 January 2024.

In October 2023, ​OOCL named its sixth eco-friendly 24,188 TEU, the OOCL Gdynia.

More recently, KPI OceanConnect, a marine energy solutions provider, announced the successful sale and supply of a B24 biofuel blend to Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL).
