Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced the Latin-East-Coast Europe Express (LUX), a new weekly service connecting Europe and the Mediterranean to the East Coast of South America.
The LUX is ONE’s first dedicated service connecting Europe and the Mediterranean to South America’s East Coast.
The service is intended to provide a competitive northbound transit time from South America’s East Coast to the Mediterranean and Europe, providing consumers with a competitive alternative to existing market offerings, particularly for chilled cargo.

The inaugural sailing for LUX will commence from Montevideo on 16 September 2023 with the following rotation: Rotterdam – London Gateway – Hamburg – Antwerp – Lisbon – Algeciras – Santos – Paranagua – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Itapoa – Paranagua – Santos – Rio De Janeiro – Algeciras – Rotterdam
In July 2023, ONE announced it will host the second Container Shipping Summit in Singapore.
Furthermore, Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) recently announced a new service in the Europe – East Coast South America network (EEX).
