This new service will complement the existing Intermodal set-up for Nigerian inland locations.

The Land Transport service will offer several benefits to customers, including faster delivery times to major cities around Lekki.

According to CMA CGM, cargo can be delivered to cities within a 100 kilometres radius around Lekki in just one day, with door-to-door delivery to Kaduna in 12 days and Kano in 14 days.

Lekki Port had its official commissioning on 23 January.

The port is expected to attract total revenues of $201 billion to the state and federal government through taxes, royalties and duties.
