The CMA CGM Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its subsidiary CEVA Logistics and GeoPost – a subsidiary of La Poste – to cooperate on parcel delivery, transportation and storage.
The agreement aims to establish a closer business relationship between the logistics actors and is intended to capitalise on the respective expertise, services, and areas of operation.
GeoPost is one of the leading names in Europe in parcel delivery, having delivered 2.1 billion parcels worldwide in 2021 through its extensive European network of over 1,200 hubs and depots, more than 86,000 vehicles, and over 120,000 delivery experts.
CEVA Logistics operates in 170 countries with 1,300 sites, offering contract logistics, freight forwarding, and road transportation services.

The new agreement between GeoPost and CEVA Logistics also includes the development of new circular economy and urban logistics services in France and Europe, with the aim of improving the quality and competitiveness of services provided to their customers.
The two companies will work together to reduce the carbon impact of deliveries, including low-carbon urban deliveries.
The CMA CGM Group has set a goal to reach net zero by 2050, while La Poste Group has been carbon neutral since 2012, working to reduce its carbon emissions per parcel by 30 per cent between 2013 and 2025.
This move comes just a few months after CEVA purchased the French automotive logistics specialist in July 2022.
