CMA CGM adjusts services connecting Asia with North Europe

CMA CGM has implemented changes on its FAL1 and FAL3 services connecting Asia with North Europe to improve operational efficiency.

According to the French shipping line, CAI MEP call on FAL3 will be suspended. CMA CGM will re-assess the possibility to insert the call again in 2024 thanks to improved nautical conditions.

While part of the cargo will continue to be loaded on FAL7 directly calling in CAI MEP, CMA CGM noted that it will also deploy a dedicated feeder between Ho Chi Minh and its hub in Singapore to connect with its seven loops sailing to North Europe and ensure same service commitment.

At the same time, the company revealed that it will switch TANGER call from FAL1 to FAL3.

Le Havre will reportedly become the first port of call on FAL1, followed by Dunkerque.

The FAL1 rotation and Westbound transit times will be the following:

Rotation: Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Yantian – Singapore – Le Havre – Dunkerque – Hamburg – Gdansk – Rotterdam – Port Klang – Busan

In October, CMA CGM announced that it is reshuffling its services linking East Mediterranean, Malta and Libya.

More recently, CMA CGM announced that it will be launching a new Asia Subcontinent Express 2 (AS2) service that connects Asia with the Indian Subcontinent.
