SNP, VSIP partner to develop field of logistics

Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) and the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited (VSIP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation in the field of logistics.

This collaboration intends to provide optimal and efficient logistics solutions for businesses operating in VSIP’s key industrial parks.

The year 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Singapore and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of their strategic partnership.

Following Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s official visit to Vietnam on 28 August, SNP and VSIP mutually vowed to collaborate and work towards a common objective of offering top-notch logistics solutions for clients in VSIP’s industrial parks countrywide.

The MoU between SNP and VSIP reportedly represents a long-term partnership in port-logistics operations and industrial park development, with the goal of furthering digital and green economy growth.

This collaboration aims to maximise both entities’ competencies and business ecosystems in order to deliver complete and efficient logistics solutions. Primary objectives include enhancing the efficiency and quality of end-to-end logistics services with a focus on cost optimisation; increasing competitiveness for enterprises operating within VSIP’s industrial parks; and collaborating on investment in depot development within industrial parks, particularly in the Can Tho region.

In July 2023, PSA Singapore introduced OptETruck, a proprietary cloud-based transport management system that employs Artificial Intelligence (AI).
