Port Technology is pleased to announce that 2019 will see the company publish 12 editions in the calendar year.
The model of four print editions per year, with online uploads, is to be usurped by 10 e-books with two print editions, that will also be uploaded online, that cover H1 and H2 of the year as well as marking PTI’s two growing events – CTAC and SPSCT.
CTAC – the Container Terminal Automation Conference – will take place in May 2019 in London, while SPSCT – the Smart Ports & Supply Chain Technologies Conference – will take place in Rotterdam in October 2019.

PTI Editor Richard Joy said: “As our online audience and downloads have increased exponentially, the PTI Board has moved to ensure we’re catering to the new demand, as well as moving with the times with regard to digital publishing.
“By publishing 10 e-books per year, as well as two print journals, we’re planning to be much more responsive and capable of addressing key issues thoroughly and efficiently.

“The journal has always been the jewel in the crown of Port Technology, so we didn’t want to detract from its importance.
“This is why we’re publishing two special print editions each year that cover each half of the year, as well as supporting our events which have proved exceptionally successful.
“All in all, the print journals will be even more versatile and impactful, while our digital e-books will offer an increasingly specialist product.”
