Various media reports have revealed a series of racist stunts at the Port of Oakland involving nooses.

Around 100 workers at one of the port's terminals walked off the job yesterday morning (May 25, 2017) after the discovery of a second noose, found inside a truck at a shipping terminal, forced the International Longshore and Warehouse Union to act after another discovery a few weeks ago.

Longshoremen are concerned that the perpetrator may have special access to the area as the other noose was found on a fence inside the terminal gates.

The union is now working on obtaining surveillance tapes to find out who is responsible.

Workers have now returned to their stations and port operations are back to normal.
