Wan Hai holds names twelfth 13,100 TEU vessel
Wan Hai Lines has held a naming ceremony for WAN HAI A19 at Samsung Heavy Industries’ Geoje shipyard, accompanied by a charity event.

Huifang Zhang, Logistics Director of Meiying Household Group, officiated the christening.

WAN HAI A19 is the 12th vessel in a series of 13,100 TEU containerships ordered from Samsung in 2021 and is scheduled for delivery in early June.

It will join Wan Hai’s Asia–West Coast South America “ASA” service.

Measuring 335 metres in length and 51 metres in breadth, the series features new engines and eco-friendly, energy-saving designs.

All vessels in the series are certified with “Smart Ship Notation”, allowing real-time navigation and equipment monitoring for enhanced safety and efficiency.

Recently, Wan Hai Lines announced the launch of its latest initiative—the India–East Mediterranean 2 Service (IM2), set to commence operations.
