NAVTOR has announced a new strategic partnership with Swedish firm Chris-Marine, aimed at improving efficiency and data accuracy for shipping crews and companies worldwide.
Under the agreement, Chris-Marine will integrate its Trust-Ocean data collection system into NAVTOR’s NavBox and NavReporting platforms.
Jacob Clausen, Director of Performance at NAVTOR, stated that the collaboration would help “optimise smart shipping solutions” and “unlock next level benefits” for both vessel crews and onshore teams.
“This is a tangible demonstration of our commitment to work with fellow segment leaders to deliver optimal value across the NAVTOR digital ecosystem,” Clausen commented.
“Chris-Marine’s hardware and expertise make data capture simple and accurate, allowing for greater auto-population of data within reporting, reduced crew workloads, fewer manual errors, and better onshore insights, with high-frequency operational data consistently delivered to shore-based verifiers and stakeholders.”

The integration aims to enable accurate and secure data sharing across NAVTOR’s suite of solutions, including Digital Logbooks, e-Navigation systems, and Performance and Monitoring tools.
NavReporting, NAVTOR’s highly automated noon reporting tool, will also benefit from the enhanced data flows.
