Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced an adjustment to the port rotation of its Ecuador – NWC & Scanbaltic – US service.
The service will additionally make a direct call in Hamburg, Germany on its Westbound journey, creating a new weekly transatlantic link between Hamburg and the East Coast US.
The new rotation of the Ecuador – NWC & Scanbaltic – USA service will be as follows:
Paita (Peru) – Cristobal (Panama) – Moin (Costa Rica) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Rotterdam (Netherlands) – Bremerhaven (Germany) – Klaipeda (Lithuania) – Gdynia (Poland) – Gothenburg (Sweden) – Hamburg (Germany) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Felixstowe (UK) – Le Havre (France) – Boston (US) – New York (US) – Philadelphia (US) – Norfolk (US) – Jacksonville (US) – Freeport (Bahamas) – Rodman (Panama) – Guayaquil (Ecuador) – Puerto Bolivar (Ecuador) – Guayaquil (Ecuador) – Paita
The new rotation will begin on 28 April with the first vessel Arushi R voyage number NN416A.
According to MSC, transit times from Hamburg to Boston in 14 days, Hamburg to Jacksonville in 24 days and Hamburg to Guayaquil in 35 days.

“The new call will further strengthen connections between Germany and the USA and reflects MSC’s ongoing commitment to developing its Transatlantic network which provides the widest network of ports, competitive transit times and access to our extensive inland transportation and logistics solutions,“ said MSC in a statement.
In February this year, MSC combined two existing container services, resulting in additional direct port calls between the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) and the West Coast of South America.
More recently, APMT Gothenburg welcomed the launch of a new weekly MSC route to the US and South America.
