APMT Gothenburg celebrates MSC's US- South America service

APM Terminals (APMT) Gothenburg has welcomed the launch of a new weekly MSC route to the US and South America.

The Ecuador-NWC & Scan Baltic-USA from MSC is reportedly the Nordic region’s first direct connection to South America.

It offers a 27-day steam time to its first port of call in South America and Freeport in the Bahamas.

APMT noted that the new service has been well embraced, providing the Swedish market with the dependability and cost-effectiveness that come with a direct link.

Fredrik Magaji, Commercial Director at MSC Sweden AB, said: “Achieving high delivery precision requires fast vessel turnover and great flexibility and APMT is an excellent partner for this. In addition, we are proud to be able to offer our customers environmentally friendly rail solutions to virtually all of Sweden from APMT in Gothenburg.” 

The new Ecuador-NWC & Scan Baltic-USA service calls at:

Klaipeda, Gdynia, Gothenburg, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Le Havre, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Jacksonville, Freeport (Bahamas), Balboa, Guayaquil, Puerto Bolívar, Guayaquil, Cristobal, Moín, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, and Klaipeda.

In February, MSC announced an update to its Türkiye to/from UK West Coast service.
