Liebherr has announced that one of its maritime solutions, the Liebherr LRS Log Handler, will be presented at the world's largest construction fair.
According to a statement, the machine has already been displayed to selected test customers, demonstrating high levels of performance.
From April 8-14, 2019, the equipment will be shown to the public for the first time at the Bauma in Munich, receiving a prominent position as part of a log handler showpiece.
Designed for industrial plant premises and timber handling terminals, the main application of the machine is the fast, mobile transport of timber.
Liebherr anticipates that the log handler will be reliable and powerful tool for businesses such as wood-processing companies and sawmills, but especially useful for transhipment hubs and inland ports.

Features of the machine including a stacking height and outreach of over eight metres, as well as a grapple capacity of 8.2 square metre.
In addition to this, the new log handler combines the advantages of LRS services for container handling with a number of modifications that cater specifically to the needs of timber handling.
Like all reachstackers from Liebherr, the solution is also equipped with a stepless, hydrostatic drive, enabling a temporary increase in performance without the need for additional fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
