The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) in Florida will receive Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC)’s ScanBaltic to USA container service.
The bi-weekly service will arrive at JAXPORT’s Blount Island Marine Terminal in late April, providing direct access to/from Scandinavia. This is JAXPORT’s only direct container service to and from Scandinavia.
SSA Atlantic will provide stevedoring services at Blount Island.

MSC’s ScanBaltic to USA service is expected to cater to various commodities, including food and beverage, automotive parts, and forest products.
This marks MSC’s fifth container service at JAXPORT, adding to existing services to Asia through the 2M Alliance, the Canada Gulf Bridge service, and two Caribbean routes, Bahamas Express and Florida Gulf Feeder.
Located in Florida, JAXPORT is the state’s top container port by volume and one of the leading ports in the country for vehicle handling.
The project is slated to be a game changer for JAXPORT, as it represents a crucial step towards the modernisation and expansion of the port, making it more efficient and competitive in the global market.
