This will be the second edition of the Greentech conference, following up from Greentech 2023 which took place in Hamburg, Germany.
This year’s conference will take place at the World Trade Centre Barcelona, Spain from 7 – 8 May 2024.
Barcelona’s ports include the Commercial Port of Barcelona, Port Vell, Port Olimpic, and Port del Fòrum.
Commenting on Greentech, Craig Lucas, Global Lead for Energy Transformation, Matt Macdonald, said: “The attraction of Greentech is having a direct dialogue with port owners, operators, and port authorities who face the colossal challenge of meeting net-zero 2050 requirements. At Greentech, we are interested in talking to port owners and operators about their pain points and possible enablers.”
Niels KristiansenCEO & CO-Founder, Portchain, stated: “Sustainability is a huge topic in shipping, and conferences like Greentech are critically important to have in the industry with the global impact it can have.
“Portchain want to be part of both adding our perspective and help, whilst coming together with like-minded people and companies to discuss, share and collaborate on ideas to make sure we can make this happen in practice.”
