DP World’s supply chain innovation continued this week as it celebrated opening a new bespoke temperature controlled warehouse at its London Gateway Logistics Park.

According to a statement, the ‘Halo’ warehouse will be used to link perishable and chilled supply chains by increasing freshness and efficiencies.

The warehouse belongs to SH Pratt, one of the largest import food distributors in the UK and stands 108,555 square feet, less than a mile from the DP World’s London Gateway port.

It was completed in less than 24 weeks, under budget and within eight months of planning permission applications being submitted.

Speaking at the opening, Robert Wells, Chairman, SH Pratt Group: “This is a state-of-the-art, fully accredited, fully focused facility, which coupled with the Group’s sister company, Kinship Logistics, and its ideal location at DP World London Gateway Logistics Park, will be able to pass on tangible savings to customers and also reduce demurrage by offering a rapid turnaround.”
