The Ever Given has arrived at the Port of Felixstowe in the UK.
Four months following its grounding at the Suez Canal, disrupting supply chains and causing millions of dollars lost through delays and cancellations, the 20,388 TEU containership reached the Suffolk port after calling at the Port of Rotterdam on 29 July.
Operated by Evergreen Marine, the vessel was originally due to arrive in Felixstowe in early April 2021.

The #evergiven container ship, which became known last March when it blocked the #Suez Canal and disrupted global shipping, will soon dock in Felixstowe Port

Some 2,000 containers are being unloaded at the UK port.
Goods in the vessel’s 18,000 remaining containers have an estimated value of $775 million – however many of them are reefer units of fruit and vegetables, that will need to be destroyed as the goods will be past their use-by date.
The vessel is due to head for Hamburg as its next call.
