CMA CGM Scanning Fee in Congo

CMA CGM has announced a change of its cargo bound for Congo, in accordance with Decree 7666 of April 2021.

CMA CGM Shipping Lines will collect the scanning fee from its customers as follows:

Effective 31 July 2023:

  • Port: Pointe Noire, Congo & final destinations on the Congolese territory
  • Perimeter: Import
  • Cargo: all cargo
  • Amounts: EUR 160/20′ | EUR 210/40′ & HC
  • Payment: Invoiced to the freight payer at the place of payment and subject to a separate invoice item ‘Customs Inspection at Origin/Destination’

This news comes three weeks after CMA CGM announced the reshuffle of its GTL – Greece Turkey Libya Express service, which will now also include Egypt.

More recently, the company announced a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) in an ongoing effort to serve its customers with dependable and efficient services.
