CMA CGM announces Peak Season Surcharge from Asia to South Africa

CMA CGM has announced the following Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) in an ongoing effort to serve its customers with dependable and efficient services.

According to CMA CGM, from the loading date of 21 August 2023 until further notice:

  • From the following Asian countries/areas: North East Asia, South East Asia, Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR & Taiwan
  • To South Africa
  • Cargo: Dry, Reefer, OOG & Breakbulk
  • Quantum: $300 per TEU
  • Settlement: As per freight

This announcement comes after CMA CGM agreed to adjust the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) from India’s West Coast to South America’s East Coast.

This month, CNC, CMA CGM’s intra-Asian short-sea specialist, and the Kochi Prefecture Government’s Department of Public Works introduced the Nine Provinces Feeder (NPF) service at the Port of Kochi in Japan.

Additionally, CMA CGM introduced its new seasonal weekly service Turkey Libya Express (TLX) connecting Asia with Turkey, Libya and Red Sea.
