Cargotec has announced the appointment of Casimir Lindholm as its new President and CEO.
He will assume the role effective 1 April.
Lindholm has extensive experience as a CEO, including previous positions at Eltel and Lemminkäinen, and brings a wealth of experience to Cargotec.
Lindholm has been a member of Cargotec’s Board of Directors since 2021 and, as a result of his appointment, will no longer be available for re-election in the AGM on March 23, 2023.
“I’m honoured and excited to be leading Cargotec at such a pivotal moment in the company’s history, with a strong foundation and a clear vision into its next development phase of growth as we have communicated before,” said Lindholm.
“With a talented team, a strong portfolio of businesses with decision making close to customers, and a commitment to sustainability and profitable growth, I believe that the company is in an excellent position to create value by empowering our businesses even further in the years to come.”

Cargotec’s outgoing CEO, Mika Vehviläinen, who was appointed in 2013, will retire from the company during 2023.
Vehviläinen will remain at the disposal of the Board of Directors as an advisor until the end of February 2024.
Cargotec’s Kalmar just agreed an extension to a large three-year cooperation agreement originally signed in 2019 with Holmen Iggesund, part of the Holmen Group.
The extension, which is for a further three years plus an optional 12-month extension, will come into effect at the start of Q22023.
