Automation comes from the Latin ‘Automatus’, meaning to move for yourself. According to the Boston Consulting Group, the tasks performed by robots will pass from 10 to about 25% in manufactured industries by 2025. Its adoption is expected to make an increase in productivity of around 30%. Electronic products, computers, electrical equipment and components, transportation equipment and machinery will be responsible for about 75% of automation during the next decade. Automation frees time for analysis of the other phases of the operational processes.
