ZIM expands new Southeast Asia – Australia coverage

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services (ZIM) has announced a new service connecting major ports in Southeast Asia and Australia.

The new Thailand Fremantle Express (TFX) will expand ZIM’s coverage of the Australian market in a bid to provide an efficient and reliable solution for customers.

The TFX rotation will begin in Ho Chi Minh and offer direct shipping between Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Fremantle with a wider coverage of Southeast Asia markets via Port Klang and Laem Chabang.

The rotation will be the following:

Ho Chi Minh – Laem Chabang – Port Klang – Sydney – Melbourne – Fremantle – Port Klang – Ho Chi Minh.

Additionally, customers will have a fast connection to New Zealand via ZIM’s N2A service when they reach Sydney.

ZIM posted a net income of $4.21 billion in the first three quarters of last year, surpassing 2021’s result of $2.94 billion.

Total revenues for the first nine months of 2022 hit $10.37 billion driven by elevated freight rates.
