Yilport, Spedition Bode boost train connection between Stockholm and Europe

YILPORT has collaborated with Spedition Bode and Kombiverkehr GmbH & Co. KG to double the number of departures between Stockholm Nord and Europe as part of its investment in expanded train service.

Its European shuttle will increase as of January from three to six regular departures per week. The connection welcomes all freight forwarders for booking and paired with the Kombiverkehrs network of over 110 terminals in Europe, freight forwarders can receive a continuous service from terminal hubs including Duisburg, Ludwigshafen, Barcelona, or Verona.

“This is a significant step forward that opens up opportunities for both importers and exporters that need reliable, consistent, and cost-effective logistics solutions,” said Joseph Muhumuza, Regional Sales Manager at YILPORT Nordic.

“We are happy to be part of the chain and to contribute to creating a more interconnected and sustainable freight transport.”

“I’m glad that our collaboration with Kombiverkehr has doubled our weekly departures,” said Stev Etzrodt, Executive Managing Director at Spedition Bode.

“Since 2015, we’ve proudly connected YILPORT Stockholm Nord to Europe via Lubeck, and now to all major continental terminals.”

In February 2023, Yilport Holding announced that it had taken over the operations at Port of Šibenik in Croatia.

More recently, Yilport expanded the initial configuration of its train shuttle between Yilport’s Sweden terminals in Gävle and Stockholm, from 540 metres to 630 metres.
