Technology giant IBM has released a new video demonstrating how Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to transform the supply chain end-to-end, enabled by the Internet-of-Things and blockchain.
In the video, IBM emphasises how innovation in the supply chain is being accelerated by increasing demand around the world from consumers. It references several major firms who are using AI to increase efficiency and visbillity in the global supply chain.

This includes YARA International, which is developing the world’s leading global digital farming platform as it looks to create a sustainable and efficient processes for farmers.
It also includes global retailer Carhartt, which has utilized AI in its fulfilment processes to deliver a better service for its customers, and artisanal brewery Sugar Creek, which uses the technology to cut waste.
IBM are working closely with Maersk, the biggest container shipping line in the world, and launched TradeLens in August 2018, a blockchain-based platform to increase supply chain efficiencies.
