Warehouses put into operation at Riga Port

Two modern covered warehouses have been put into operation in the Rīgas Centrālais Termināls (RCT) of Riga Port in Latvia.

The two warehouses have a combined area of 10,000 metres squared.

The warehouses will be able to store up to 48,000 tonnes of bulk cargo, such as grain or wood pellets, as well as general cargo that require storing in closed-type warehouses.

The total area of ​​closed warehouses in the export port has increased by 25 per cent, providing the opportunity to offer customers additional areas for cargo storage, according to Riga Port.

The port of Riga has seen an increased container volume in 2022, having recorded a throughput of 460,700 TEU surpassing the previous year’s figure by 16 per cent.
