Wärtsilä, a provider of technological solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry to support the growth of its exhaust gas cleaning systems (EGCS).
According to a statement, the two companies’ agreement – signed in June 2019 – covers the development of local production resources and will extend the use of Wärtsilä’s EGCS across China.
With both organizations combining their experience and expertise, it is expected that a “one-stop-shopping” service for exhaust gas cleaning systems will be established, offering customers “seamless deliveries and installation for both newbuild and retrofit scrubber projects”.
