The Port of Valencia (PAV) has launched a new tool in its ValenciaportPCS app to improve real-time communication during transport disruptions.
Available for free on both the App Store and Play Store, the new GAO tool in Valencia is part of the app’s Land Transport module and can also be accessed via QR code.
It reportedly provides instant notifications on events such as terminal gate closures, roadworks, strikes, scanner operations, and other incidents affecting port-area road traffic.
The tool is designed to enhance coordination among port stakeholders, including hauliers, terminal operators, and logistics companies.

PAV noted that it allows users to respond more effectively to disruptions, improving planning, reducing bottlenecks, and increasing operational resilience.
Presented during the Port of Valencia’s recent Quality Council session, the feature was highlighted for enabling direct, traceable messaging without intermediaries, streamlining operational communication.
The initiative supports the port’s broader goals of digitalisation, service quality, and logistics efficiency.
PAV recently activated an anti-drone system to monitor and secure the port’s airspace. The system detects and identifies unauthorised drone activity in real time and alerts the State Security Forces (FFCCSE) for enforcement.
