Valencia Terminal Expands Konecranes Fleet

Konecranes are to deliver 6 RTGs to the Noatum Container Terminal in Valencia, Spain, taking the total RTG fleet to 27 when the fifth delivery by the company is complete.

The terminal is the gateway for the Iberian Peninsula and the natural port for Madrid, with global container shipping lines calling there before connecting to other regions.

Gustavo Ferrer, Terminal Manager of Noatum, said: “I have been working with Konecranes for years and we have a good relationship. The cranes are reliable and high-performing. Konecranes’ local service, based in Valencia, is excellent.”

The new RTGs have a lifting capacity of 40 tonnes and stacks 1-over-5 containers high and six plus truck lane wide, equipped with Konecranes’ Active Load Control and Diesel Fuel Saver systems.
