Kalmar will organize an idea creation challenge, Kalmar Co-Create, during the TOC Europe event in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
During the event, which takes place on June 12-13, 2018, the cargo handling engineering company will look to discover disruptive ideas to specific customer challenges in container handling industry through co-creation with terminal operators, solution providers and development partners.

Futurice, Gofore and Cybercom, all Finnish companies specialized in digital services development, will take part as the Kalmar Co-Create partner companies.

Lasse Eriksson, Vice President, New Service Business Concepts at Kalmar, said: “We have invited three teams from our partner network to work on specific customer pains.
“By bringing together experts with different backgrounds, we expect to co-create novel concept proposals that have potential to shape our industry.
“Each of the teams will be supported by a Kalmar mentor who will help conduct customer interviews and guide the teams during the challenge.
“Our partners have deep knowledge of service design, digital technologies and concept creation, and combining that with Kalmar's expertise in container handling during the most significant annual event of the industry gives us a unique setup for co-creation and exploration of new solutions.”
