Siwertell wins 'Best Ship Loading/Unloading System' at IBJ Awards
Cargotec’s Siwertell has won the International Bulk Journal's 'Best Ship Loading/Unloading System' award for a second time.
The award was announced at this year’s IBJ Awards event in Paris last week.
Upon receiving the award Per Karlsson, president of Cargotec Sweden Bulk Handling, who is responsible for the Siwertell brand, said that to win this category the equipment has been “judged to offer the most efficient, safe and innovative dry bulk cargo flow systems”.
“Siwertell ship unloaders, loaders and terminal systems easily meet and exceed all the requirements of an increasingly demanding industry, along with the regulations – local, national and international -that seek to deliver safe and environmentally-friendly operations,” he added.
Siwertell ship unloaders and loaders are based on unique screw conveyor technology, in combination with belt conveyors and aeroslides, and can handle virtually any dry bulk cargo, such as coal, cement, fertiliser, agribulk, clinker, sulphur and grain. Siwertell plant and terminal design, ship unloaders, ship loaders, mobile ship unloaders, mechanical and pneumatic conveying systems, and storage solutions are all designed to ensure environmentally-friendly and efficient cargo operations.
