The Port of Saint Petersburg has reported a 69% increase in investment on environmental protection measures in 2019.
This initiative aims to upgrade environmental protection equipment and modernize facilities at the port.

As part of the investment, the Port purchased a vacuum sweeper, an additional local dust suppression system for cargo holds, and an ecological bunker vessel.
According to the statement, the Port is also working on a water disposal system modernization project. In particular, the Port is overhauling some sections of the sewage system with a total length of more than 400 meters.
