Johor Port Berhad (JPB) has received the Multi-Purpose Terminal Operator of the Year award at the recent Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards Presentation Ceremony held in KL Hilton, Kuala Lumpur.
The award was presented to JPB in recognition of its performance and innovation success ideas in the port industry as well as for its role and achievement in applying best practice within the organisation.
The integrated multi-purpose port facility, located at the South Eastern tip of Malaysia, is the first port in Johor which is designed as a multi-purpose cargo port.
As a southern gateway, JPB operates five terminals with 24 berths totalling 4.75 kilometres and covers containers, bulk and break-bulk activities.
JPB also took the Industry Excellence Award for service sector during the recent Anugerah Kecemerlangan Industri (AKI) Award Presentation Ceremony for industry excellence in applying Malaysia’s Business Excellence Framework.
The Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices Awards recognise companies throughout a range of regional and global markets for superior leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development.
Frost & Sullivan's industry analyst team benchmarks market participants and measures their performance through independent, primary interviews, and secondary industry research in order to evaluate and identify best practices.
The Multi-Purpose Terminal Operator of the Year award was presented to YBhg. Dato’ Sri Che Khalib bin Mohamad Noh, Chairman of Johor Port Berhad and Group Managing Director of MMC Corporation Berhad at the function.
