The title of best video interview of 2014 goes to Navis Senior Vice-President Andy Barrons in which he gave an exclusive interview with PTI which was filmed on location at TOC Europe in London.
Barrons informed us of the major challenges for container terminals brought about by the prevalence of mega ships. His belief is a turn to automation in order to achieve greater productivity and operational efficiency.
He goes on to say that in order to be more productive, terminals need to unload ships quicker while also improving throughput and truck turnaround times.
As the leading provider of terminal operating systems, Navis is able to provide terminals with software that can optimise the business process of moving containers through the terminals, thereby making them more productive in the era of mega ships.
