Jonson Cox CBE, Non-Executive Chair, and Admiral Sir Philip Jones GCB DL, Non-Executive Director, have received the reappointment to the Port of London Authority (PLA) Board for second terms.
Their second term will begin on 4 April 2025 and each will last three years.
Cox has extensive experience as CEO and Chair of regulated and commercial infrastructure and public service organisations.
Following an early career with Shell, Cox served as Managing Director of Yorkshire Water (1996-2000), leading the firm out of a major customer problem and restoring YW’s high-ranking standing. He returned to the industry for more than six years (2004–2010) as Group CEO of troubled AWG plc, directing a successful recovery of underperforming Anglian Water Services and Morrison plc.

Moreover, Admiral Sir Philip Jones GCB DL served as Chief of Naval Staff and First Sea Lord, the professional head of the Royal Navy, from 2016-19.
In June, PLA announced the appointment of Martin Rolfe, CEO of NATS, as its new Non-Executive Board Director.
