The Port of Helsingborg has driven its modernisation efforts with the N4 Terminal Operating System (TOS) from Kaleris.
Over the past 18 months, the port has reportedly boosted productivity, streamlined operations, reduced bottlenecks, and enhanced terminal efficiency.
Handling around 275,000 TEUs by sea and 25,000 TEUs by rail each year, Helsingborg is one of Northern Europe’s key ports.
Sanjin Redzepagic, CIO of the Port of Helsingborg, said: “With N4, we can dynamically change the yard layout and parameters to increase our capacity within our existing area by up to 30 per cent.
“In addition, the Berth Window Management Vessel Planning feature allows us to handle containers much more efficiently by digitising our berth plan. We used it to decrease the number of container rehandles for vessel loading by 50 per cent, improving our efficiency and reducing fuel consumption.”
