The Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) has announced the appointment of Loren Marino as its new Vice President of External Affairs and Chief of Staff.
In this position, Marino will be responsible for overseeing community engagement and ensuring smooth communication and operations between the Port and the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad (NOPB).
Additionally, she will lead strategic planning efforts and supervise departments including Human Resources, Procurement, IT, and Marketing and Communications.
Marino joins Port NOLA from Jefferson Parish, where she most recently served as Senior Assistant Parish Attorney.

She has also held several key roles in Jefferson Parish, including Chief Administrative Assistant to the Parish President, Director of Inspection and Code Enforcement, and Assistant District Attorney, where she prosecuted felony cases.
Port of New Orleans Board Chairman, Michael A. Thomas, said: “Loren Marino brings a wealth of legal and administrative knowledge to the Port of New Orleans.
