Orient Overseas International Limited (OOIL), the parent company of Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), has been listed in China’s Edition of S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2023.
S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook was initially released in English in 2008, however, this is the first time S&P Global has issued a Chinese edition.
The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook seeks to recognise corporations within their industry who have proven corporate sustainability capabilities.

Following the increased interest in sustainability strategies and themes among Chinese organisations in recent years, a China edition has been created to allow Chinese enterprises to measure their performance against their local counterparts.
The firms featured in the yearbook are chosen based on the findings of a Corporate Sustainability examination (CSA), an annual comprehensive examination of governance and economic, environmental, and social factors with a strong focus on long-term shareholder value.
Around 1,600 Chinese enterprises from 60 industries in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau that participated in the 2022 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) were included in the yearbook’s selection scope.
