The East China Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan is expected to exceed 3 million TEU in April 2022.

The figure represents an increase of over 10 per cent year on year according to the port operator and a new monthly record.

In April, an increase of 32.3 per cent year-on-year has also been registered in the port’s rail-sea transit services volume for a total of 135,000 TEU.

The Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan has been operating steadily in light of the new COVID-19 measures across the country, despite facing the temporary closure of expressway exits and service areas.

In PTI’s list of China’s ‘Top 10 ports’, the Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan ranked as the second-busiest port in China in 2021 and the third-busiest in the world.
