Supply chain and Internet-of-Things (IoT) experts Loginno has been chosen as Navis’ new partner in a move which will see the companies work closely together on new solutions, including Loginno’s project to form the world’s first digital shipping company.
Loginno, which has written a technical paper for PTI’s Edition 83, due for release on March 26, 2019, titled ‘The Mission to be the Google of Shipping: The Blue Ocean of Contopia’, said the deal was struck at the Rainmaking Trade & Transport Impact 2019 Program last week.
Shachar Tal, Loginno’s founder and author of the technical paper, said the company will, over the next few weeks, “work on combining the joint values of Navis and Loginno to provide a strong a disruptive offer to the container market.”
Furthermore, Tal also said Loginno will work on Contopia, which stands for Container Utopia and describes fully IoT integrated shipping use cases to be tested with the first digital shipping company.
Loginno announced the digital shipping company plan, which it calls the ‘Contopia Factor’ on December 7, 2019, a story PTI reported on, and said it will choose one shipping company to have its entire fleet digitized. The selected carrier will be announced on June 6, 2019.
