Chuck Schneider, Vice President and General Manager EMEA, Navis, has explained how artificial intelligence (AI) can improve automated data collection functions at container terminals.
Schneider's experience in overseeing a variety of terminal system upgrades has led him to believe that machine learning could improve yard and vessel processes.

But, before terminals start considering how AI can improve their port, Schneider said that it is important to complete optimization projects that are currently underway.
