MSC Group has entered into a share purchase agreement with Bolloré SE for the 100 per cent acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics.

Under the agreement, MSC will take full control of Bolloré Group’s shipping, logistics and terminal operations in Africa, as well as its terminal operations in India, Haiti and Timor-Leste, based on an enterprise value of €5.7 billion ($6.4 billion).

The group previously made an offer for the transaction in December last year and has since gone through a positive consultation process with representatives of employees of the Bolloré Group.

Completion remains subject to the receipt of approvals, including from the relevant competition authorities.

Last year, MSC Thailand signed a partnership with Kale Logistics for digital delivery documentation across the supply chain.

As part of the agreement, Kale Logistics Solutions collaborated with TIFFA EDI Services to provide the CODEX Electronic Delivery Order (e-DO) service to MSC Thailand.
