MSC postpones rotation shift on Far East-Pacific Northwest service

MSC has postponed the rotation adjustment on its Chinook Service due to labouring issues affecting the West Coast Canadian ports.

In June 2023, MSC announced a rotation change on our Chinook service, effective from week 28.

The revised rotation was as follows: Yantian – Shanghai – Qingdao – Busan – Vancouver – Seattle – Portland.

However, in order to avoid any delays, MSC has decided to postpone the rotation shift due to the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Canada strikes which began on 3 July and impacted operations at West Coast Canadian ports.

As a result, and until further notice, boats on the Chinook service will continue to operate as follows: Yantian – Shanghai – Qingdao – Busan – Seattle – Portland – Vancouver

In May 2023, MSC announced that its Santana service will call at Port Everglades in Florida, US instead of Port of Miami.

One month later, MSC planned to change the port rotation of its Santana Service.
