MSC adapts capacity on Asia-North Europe route

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is implementing adjustments to its capacity in response to shifting market dynamics and changing demand on the Asia to North Europe trade route.

The changes are set to take effect from week 43.

As part of these adjustments, some sailings will be omitted, allowing MSC to align its operations more closely with the current level of demand.

The carrier will also introduce alternative options for shippers:

Just recently, the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) dismissed the latest Charge Complaint against MSC and discontinued the Order to Show Cause (OSC) proceeding.

The decision made by FMC has been seen by those within the industry as one that could potentially set a precedent for other shipping liners.
