A video released by Maersk shows a video interview with Nils Anderson, CEO of Maersk, in which he discusses the recent financial results of the company, which saw a more than US$1 billion decrease in profits compared to the previous year.
Nils Anderson said that the environment they currently operate in has been deteriorating and the company has been battling record low oil and freight rates.
However, he believes that although it is impossible for shipping lines to make money in the current climate, a way for the Maersk to overcome this is by focusing on what the they do successfully and continue to meet customer needs.
