Liebherr Deal Marks Danish Return

Danish company A. Henriksen Shipping A/S has signed a contract for a new LHM 550 multi-purpose Liebherr mobile harbour crane with a lifting capacity of 144 tonnes.

The new crane will lift steel slabs with a total weight of up to 61 tonnes each and be used in cargo operations in order to boost terminal productivity at the port of Frederiksværk, where A. Henriksen Shipping is loading and discharging some 400 ships per year.

Operating out of the ports of Frederiksværk and Hundested, north of Copenhagen, A. Henriksen Shipping A/S offers a wide range of services within shipping, transport and logistics.

The company was established in Copenhagen in 1934 and has served local as well as international customers, between ports in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway and Sweden, handling most types of cargo including bulk, break bulk, ro-ro, heavy lift and project cargo.

Ports Baltics are called occasionally called upon when a sufficient quantity of cargo is available. In 2007, A. Henriksen Shipping bought a LHM 400, its first Liebherr mobile harbour crane.
