Kalmar, a division of Cargotec, has inked a deal with Med Europe Terminal to deliver six Kalmar hybrid straddle carriers.
The order was entered into Cargotec’s Q1 2024 order intake. The machines are planned to be delivered in Q4 2024.
The terminal, located in the Port of Marseille on France’s south coast, already has a fleet of Kalmar diesel-electric straddle carriers.
The new hybrid straddle carriers are part of a fleet renewal project designed to improve the terminal’s environmental performance.
